Beautiful area, with a lot to explore.

Beautiful area, with a lot to explore. My schedule only allowed 1/2 day. I would recommend visiting mid-week, NOT during Spring break. I rented a kayak for 3 hours from Hunter Springs Kayaks (highly recommend them!), with the intention of swimming with manatees. I only saw 1 manatee while swimming, plus a couple more from the kayak, since it was late in the season for seeing manatees. Next time I'll plan on visiting earlier in the season, midweek

Swimming with manatees was great.we stayed at the plantation hotel which was worse than motel 6.it was very deceiving because the exterior was nice but the rooms were dirty and dated-would not stay there again..

Crystal River is an adorable little beach town full of nature loving people, artists, veterans, and retirees. We had a wonderful time there snorkeling with manatees, boating, kayaking, and exploring Heritage Village. Highly recommended for a long weekend trip.

Three sisters spring was very nice saw a lot of manatees and the trails were nice. Parking was limited. Kayak rental was pricey and not worth it. We did see manatees but the bay was crowded the water murky until you got near the springs. Would not recommend kayaking in the bay and channels. There are much better places to kayak . If you love seafood eat at the Crab Plant. Casual dining with great food and a big variety of fresh caught seafood.

Crystal River is the most beautiful little town we have ever visited. Everything is manatee-themed, even down to some of the streetlights! There are lots of things to do, especially if you love nature and wildlife. Scalloping, hiking, swimming with manatees, and kayaking just to name a few. There are also lots of great dining options available, especially the seafood! It is a cultural hotspot as well, with lots of murals, galleries, museums, and historical sites to see. We will definitely be back and hope to stay longer next time.

    The best birthday vacation.

The best birthday vacation. Main goal was to snorkel with manatees. Was able to pack a lot of activities into each day since towns are so close together. The best place for outdoor activities and water activities. Lots of history. Many parks and trails for walking. hiking, or biking. The locals are so nice and engaging. They make you feel welcome, and the few times I drove anywhere I did not encounter impatient or rude drivers. They just move around you and ignore the pokey tourist. Such a nice place to visit and they make you feel safe there. And lots of fresh seafood!

check in went smoothly, very friendly desk person. the room is very basic, but everything was there including a microwave and fridge..it is a very basic hotel but was clean for a quickie overnight trip where we just needed a place to crash for the night..the shower pressure was good..the sink did not drain very well and might be something someone might want to look into..but the fridge was very cold and it was just perfect for a cheap quick night in the middle of a very rural area that does not have a lot of fancy places to stay

I usually only pick hotels that have excellent reviews. This one had a few negative reviews, hence I debated quite a bit and booked it only due to the lack of other better options. I have to say it is a great place and I would go back. The property is very big and right on the water. Nice spacious room. Pool with bar open till late. Restaurant on site open for dinner and lunch. Nice staff. Tours and rentals on property. We stayed only one night, but it deserves a longer stay. So much to do in the area and at the hotel itself.

Everything! Beautiful, very clean, and very well stocked. Best rental I have ever stayed at anywhere. Beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms are well stocked with everything you need and the same for the kitchen. Luke was great and very responsive to questions. The hot tub was great, the furniture was clean, comfortable and like new. Great location. I highly recommend Crystal River Getaway.

This an enchanting unique property set in it a wooded secluded area by the water, wildlife all around, we met a raccoon by the property and a Bobcat wondering over the road. Amazingly large bedroom fully equipped. The breakfasts where the best we have ever had and the evening charcuterie meal was outstanding. We had a very warm friendly welcome and could not have been better looked after.

Great location next to the Crystal River. Comfortable newly furnished room. Lovely pool and hot tub, a great spot to relax and watch the activity on the river. Hired a kayak, and went on a snorkelling trip both booked very easily through Captain Mike's (on site) when we arrived. There's a few bars and restaurants within a short walk from the hotel, so you don't need to jump in the car.

Great location with everything we needed right there on the property--place to dock our boat and trailer, great restaurant and tiki bar on the water with good service and food. Loved our balcony room with view of marina and bay area. All office staff was friendly and helpful when we needed information or help with TV not working. Plan to stay here again.

The hotel was fantastic so very clean. It was a very short walk to the park and dock where we were able to see manatees and dolphins on our very first day without having to pay for an excursion trip. We did anyway saw more manatees, swimming areas. The restaurant we also walked to , the small town was delightful and had so many small coffee shops.

The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The towels and bedding felt and looked clean without an overwhelming chlorine smell. They have complimentary coffee all day and night, and the breakfast included in the stay is the best breakfast selection I have ever had in a hotel. The overall cleanliness of the hotel is great.

Honestly, there was not much I did like. I guess it was better than sleeping in my car for the night, but at the price they charged for the value I received I would have seriously considered it. There are other options in town, like what looked like a newly built Best Western -- I should have just stayed there in hindsight.

As an avid traveler, this was one of a very few hotels where the manager came around the breakfast area each morning, chatting and ensuring all was well. I watched as he even brought napkins to a table. kudos to this facilities team!
