• When and where does the tour end?

  The tour ends in Cairns in the late afternoon. You have the option to join the new friends and the crew for a farewell dinner before going your separate ways - or opt to spend some more time in sunny Cairns!
• When and where does the tour start?

  The tour starts in Cairns, with a day spent at the Pro Dive Cairns training centre getting to grips with the practical skills of scuba diving. Your accommodation and joining point details will be listed in your final tour documents released 21 days prior to departure.
• Can you assist with booking additional accommodation?

  Of course, we can! Once you have a confirmed booking on this tour, we can request additional accommodation for you with the tour operator.
• What is the age range?

  Contiki operates tours exclusively for travellers between ages 18-35. They are geared towards active, budget-minded young travellers who want to meet other people from all over the world, and tend to be very popular with students and backpackers. Due to this, children under the age of 18 and adults outside of the age range are not able to participate in this tour.
• I'm a solo traveller, is there a single supplement?

  Solo travellers do not have to pay a single supplement as this is a group trip designed for shared accommodation. You will be paired in multi-share accommodation with travellers of the same sex, which is a great way to get to know your group and enrich your travel experience! For those who would prefer a little more privacy, a single supplement option is available, the additional surcharge of which can be seen on the booking page.
• Is there a hotel list available?

  You will be spending two nights in a hostel in Cairns and two nights aboard a boat. Hostel lists are unavailable for this tour as they are subject to change until shortly before departure, but your specific accommodation details will be listed in your final tour documents.
• Are the flights included?

  Flights before and after the tour are not included in the tour price and you need to arrange these separately by yourself once your tour is guaranteed. As we specialise in organising the best tours around the world for you, we are unable to advise on flight prices or book flights on your behalf. • Is accommodation for Day 1 included?

  This tour includes accommodation for 4 nights, so accommodation will be included for the evening of Day 1. If you wish to book pre accommodation at the starting point then please contact our travel experts to arrange this.
• Is transport included?

  Airport transfers are not included in this tour, however, once you have arrived at the designated starting point all transport during the tour will be included.
• Are airport transfers included?

  Transfers are not included in the price of this tour so travellers will have to make their own way to/from the start/end point. This will be in Cairns, Queensland. Details on the starting/end points can be found at My Contiki, or in the documents sent to you 21 days prior to departure.
